Own a Piece of Southport History! This vintage Historic marker commemorates Franklin Square Park. This land was set aside for the people shortly after Smithville (Southport) was chartered in 1792. For years it was displayed in the park as part of the Southport Historical Society Walking Tour. Now it has been carefully cleaned and framed with a custom-made, handcrafted wood frame. It comes with a heavy-duty wrought iron easel for easy display. It would make a fascinating conversation piece in your home, business, or organization. The framed marker’s dimensions are 38” by 26”. The dimensions of the easel is 20.5”w x 16”d x 48”h. See the photos for an example of what the marker would look like on an easel. This marker is a duplicate of marker# 15. Due to the size of the park, two markers were displayed. For more info about this marker, please watch the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGiz20ExJQU
